Five of Meghan Markle’s closest friends gave an interview revealing the “truth” about the Duchess of Sussex this week. During an interview with People, Imogen Lloyd Webber, a royal correspondent, warned Meghan it becomes a “slippery slope” once you start speaking to the press. Commenting on the criticism Meghan has faced, Ms Lloyd Webber said: “It is very difficult when you start speaking out, it is a slippery slope, so we shall see.
“But, we are about to have all that happy News, there is a baby coming.
“Maybe this is a little bit of a reset.”
Ms Lloyd Webber also revealed what she thought was the most “surprising revelation” from the interviews about the Duchess of Sussex this week.
She said: “She hasn’t changed her phone number.
“That her father can get in touch with her. That was shocking to me.”
It comes after a royal expert warned the Duchess of Sussex will “make mistakes” as she learns to navigate royal circles.
Speaking to Sunrise, Angela Mollard, said: “She’s original, she’s creative, she thinks of new ideas, she doesn’t wear the crown and the jewels and then goes and to things by pets.
“She’s actually thinking of new ideas and ways of doing things and it’s quite purposeful about it. I think it’s rather sweet.”
The royal commentator continued: “But I think Meghan Markle will make a mistake. Sorry, the Duchess of Sussex will make a mistake.
“Someday soon – she’s a bit renegade, she follows her own tune – and at some point, it will go wrong. At the moment though, it’s interesting.”
In a series of interviews with US magazine People, five of Meghan’s closest friends anonymously defended the Duchess of Sussex.
One of Meghan’s inner circle said: “Meg has silently sat back and endured the lies and untruths, we worry about what this is doing to her and the baby.
“It’s wrong to put anyone under this level of emotional trauma, let alone when they’re pregnant.”
