JOZO SIMUNOVIC will NOT be banned after the SFA reviewed an aerial clash between the Celtic defender and Hibs striker Oli Shaw, as CQN reported last night.

The incident happened just before half-time in the Hoops’ 2-0 win over the Easter Road side on Wednesday.

Referee Craig Thomson took no action and the Edinburgh frontman was replaced by Marc McNulty at the start of the second-half.

SFA compliance officer Clare Whyte reviewed the footage this afternoon and deemed the Croat’s actions weren’t enough to constitute violent conduct.

It means the 24-year-old escapes a suspension which would have ruled him out of the Scottish Cup-tie against St Johnstone on Sunday.
