The parents of Libby Squire have made a heartbreaking call for information to help in the search for the missing student.

Russell and Lisa Squire are appealing to the public to share anything that might aid in the search for Libby, which is now in its fourth day.

Libby, 21, was last seen on Thursday, January 31 reports HullLive .

Libby’s dad Russell Squire appealed to the public to come forward with any information while her mum Lisa fought back tears as she appealed directly to her daughter to get in touch.

She expressed her heartache as Libby’s whereabouts remain a mystery.

“Libby my darling pie, we just want to know that you are safe,” she said. “Please get in touch with us any way you can.

“The whole family is missing you, especially me, your dad, your sisters and brother.

“I miss you so much, it is breaking my heart, not knowing where you are. I love you more.”

Libby, 21, was seen getting into a taxi outside Welly nightclub on Beverley Road in Hull, at around 11pm on Thursday, January 31. She was later seen on the street, near the junction with Beresford Avenue, at about 11.45pm, when a man got out of his car to stop and help her.

A massive search to try and find Libby was launched on Friday, with dozens of Humberside Police officers seen combing the area and going door-to-door to ask people for information.

Searches have continued since then, with the regional marine unit looking in Barmston Drain on Monday morning.

Libby’s dad Russell also appealed to the public to keep reporting any information they might have.

He said: “Libby is our kind, thoughtful, beautiful girl who is loved by so many people.

“As you can appreciate this is a very difficult time for us both. We would life to thank everyone for their help and support so far.

“Your messages and kind words are a great source of strength to us both.

“Please come forward with any information you may have, no matter how small or irrelevant it may be, we just want Libby home.”

On Monday morning, teams from Humberside Police’s regional marine unit could be seen floating up and down the drain which runs under Beverley Road close by in teams of two.

On Monday morning, as officers prepared to resume the searches for Libby, Humberside Police tweeted: “Detectives are today continuing to work alongside our neighbourhood teams in the search for Libby. Thank you for your ongoing support.

“Please continue to contact us with any information you might have.”
