Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge is believed to be spending her birthday privately at home with her family. The mother-of-three has her hands full with youngest child Prince Louis at the moment as he is only eight months old. Kensington Palace confirmed Prince William will be working during the day, paying a visit to London’s Air Ambulance Charity, but he is likely to join his wife come the evening along with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
How old is Kate and when is her birthday?
Kate will turn 37 next Wednesday – the Duchess was born on January 9, 1982.
Last year, the Duchess was heavily pregnant with Louis during her birthday and also spent a quiet day at home.
At Christmas, Kate was seen attending church in Sandringham with William, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The family get-together was keenly watched by onlookers following weeks of rumours about a rift between the two Duchesses.
All gossip was swiftly put to bed, however, after the two women looked at ease in one another’s company as they walked side by side.
Therefore, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could well pop by the Cambridge home on Wednesday to pass on their best wishes to Kate.
A source told US publication US weekly the Queen is happy the two women have put their alleged differences aside after having “reached her limit with all the drama”.
The insider said of the head of monarch: “She’d reached her limit with all the drama.
“She desperately wanted Meghan and Kate to make-up and she got her wish.”
Who is older – Kate or Meghan?
Kate is slightly younger than her American sister-in-law Meghan Markle.
Meghan was born on August 4, 1981 meaning she is 37 years old already.
The age gap between the pair is only five months and five days.
But while Kate was born in Berkshire, Meghan’s upbringing could not have been more different.
The former US Suits actress was born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, California.
