Verstappen was slapped with the punishment for a post-race altercation with Esteban Ocon at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The Dutchman pushed his Force India rival in the chest numerous times after the pair collided while Verstappen was leading the race, costing him a race win.
It is unclear what duties the FIA will store upon the 21-year-old – but he insists he will not do anything too humiliating.
“I honestly really don’t know,” he said.
“We’ll discuss, between the team and the FIA, what we’re going to do.
“If I agree with it, it doesn’t really matter, does it?
“What can you do about it? I find it a bit harsh but yeah… We’ll find a solution.
“I’m definitely not going to look silly.
“I think anyway I’m already very hardly treated by that, so we’ll find something suitable, because I’m not going to look like an idiot.”
Verstappen finished third at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last weekend to secure fourth place in the Championship standings.
And the youngster was relieved he did not finish in the top three so he did not have to attend the winner’s Gala.
“We calculated that, I’m sorry,” Verstappen joked. “Unless I can do it as a community service day, and then I will go!”
However, that is when Hamilton piped up to mock his counterpart.
“Lucky you. No, you can’t do that as a community service day,” Hamilton said.
But Verstappen tried to worm his way out of the community service.
“I’ll do some PR stuff before – how great the whole venue is,” he added. “I’ll do a special speech in the evening!”
