Salah is incredibly popular for club and country but did this statue really do him justice?
Mohamed Salah is adored by Liverpool supporters far and wide and is somewhat immortal in Egypt.
But you could forgive the forward for thinking he is not so adored by some in his homeland judging by a new statue of him that has been unveiled.
A bizarre bronze sculpture shows Salah in suspected celebration and is available to view across the weekend in Sharm el-Sheikh, a resort town between the desert of the Sinai Peninsula and the Red Sea.
It was created by Egyptian sculptor Mai Abdel Allah – unveiled during the World Youth Forum (WYF), which runs from 3-6 November.
However, it’s fair to say the statue’s resemblance to Salah needs work and is arguably as bad as THAT bust of Cristiano Ronaldo at Madeira’s airport, which was improved at a later date.
Below you can see the Salah statue in all its ‘glory’.
This Salah statue definitely needs some work too…
