That’s the view of the man himself as revealed by his Juventus team-mate Blaise Matuidi.
After a slow start in Turin, Ronaldo is regularly starring for Juve after his summer transfer from Real Madrid.
Ronaldo has scored seven Serie A goals so far, though is yet to net for Juventus in the Champions League.
Indeed, his most notable European showing was being sent off against Valencia for an apparent grab of an opponents hair.
He starred in a 1-0 win at former club Manchester United last week with Juventus winning all three Champions League games to date.
And Matuidi has revealed it was his attitude following that game that makes five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo stand out from the rest.
“We were all dead tired after the match against Manchester United and the day after, except Cristiano,” Matuidi told RMC Sport.
“He’s been working like crazy ever since he got here. He’s been at it more than anyone else and he told me he ‘had to’ behave like that.
“That’s why at 33, he’s been an example for all of us and given us an extra stimulus. His influence isn’t limited to his work during the week.
“He’s also crucial over the 90 minutes. He can do things that others can’t to help improve the team’s game.
“Everyone feels much stronger alongside him. He’s a leader in this sense.”
Cristiano Ronaldo helped Real Madrid to three Champions League titles in a row before departing in the summer.
But Juventus boss Max Allegri believes Barcelona could stop him making it a personal four in succession.
“The Champions League? To improve on what we’ve done so far there’s only one to do, win it,” Allegri said.
“But we need to be careful of Barcelona, they’re a strong contender and they can go deep.
“This is a competition that changes in March: at that point, we’ll need some luck and a healthy squad.”
