These high-flying firms are on the Daily Post Business Awards shortlist

An historic bakery, fast growing travel firm and popular gallery are all among the high-flying companies shortlisted for the Daily Post Business Awards.

The 2018 shortlist is revealed ahead of the glittering award ceremony next month at Bangor University – joint headline sponsors of the awards with the Welsh Government.

It was a truly exceptional year for entries with a record number of businesses taking part – making judging particularly difficult for the panel of six judges.

The shortlists contain long established brands and new rising business stars.

Chairman of the judging panel David Williams, chair of North Wales Business Club, said: “As a judge it was so encouraging to see not just the high quality of entries in the different categories but also the variety of entries for the 2018 Awards.

“There were some businesses that had featured in the past but the strong message is that none had been standing still.

“They had made tangible and sustainable progress over the past few years.
