Mookie Betts hits his first postseason homer

Mookie Betts‘ first career postseason home run came in a huge spot for the Red Sox, as his sixth-inning solo shot in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday at Dodger Stadium extended Boston’s lead to 3-1. J.D. Martinez then went deep for the first time in the Fall Classic with a solo shot in the seventh to push the lead to 4-1.

Martinez’s blast made it three home runs for Boston off Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, as Steve Pearce got the Sox on the board with a two-run shot in the first. The Red Sox are looking to capture the ninth World Series title in franchise history.
