A wedding day should be the best of your life.
There are usually plenty of nerves – and that’s before you have to make your speech.
Obviously, committing the rest of your life to the person you love is a remarkable experience.
But one bride recently revealed she’ll ban her bridesmaids from wearing dresses in order to remain the centre of attention, according to The Mirror.
A frustrated fiancée took to an Australian Facebook page to vent her feelings about her upcoming nuptials, reports MailOnline.
She wrote: “Probably unpopular opinion here… but I can’t be the only one who wants their bridesmaids to feel pretty… but not TOO PRETTY.
“My self-esteem can’t take it.
“I just have to KNOW that I will be the prettiest princess.
“Just this one day.”
Some people were outraged by her comment.
But one woman knew exactly how she felt and admitted she had come up with a plan to make sure all eyes would be on her at her wedding.
And to do this she was forcing her bridesmaids to wear very specific outfits.
Her bridal party was banned from wearing dresses to the nuptials, all apart from the Maid of Honour, who was allowed to wear a dress – but nothing that could be considered revealing.
The unnamed lady said: “My girls are wearing formal pant suits and my MOH is wearing a dress, these girls are going to be COVERED, if it wouldn’t be too hot I’d cover them head to toe.
“LOL (not joking).”
Unsurprisingly people had some major objections to this.
One person commented: “I want my bridesmaids and MOH to wear dresses they like but I do have final say.
“They can look as pretty as they want, I’ll be on top of the world that day.”
Another posted: “This is GROSS.
“I’ve picked out dresses I ADORE for my bridesmaids because they are all beautiful and deserve the best.
“I’m also paying for them to have their hair and make-up done because I want them to feel stunning.”
A third added: “Imagine being this insecure.”
