The Wild Boars were given a weekend of VIP treatment by the Red Devils, including a visit to the training ground on Saturday
The Thai boys who were trapped in a flooded cave visited Old Trafford for Manchester United’s victory over Everton and even got to meet the iconic Eric Cantona.
United welcomed the Wild Boars youth football team with a weekend of VIP treatment, including hugs with manager Jose Mourinho on Saturday and hospitality seats for the Premier League clash on Sunday.
The 12 youngsters and their coach were the subject of a global rescue effort in July after they ventured into a cave which then flooded, trapping them inside for 18 days.
They were all successfully brought out thanks to a complicated mission involving an international team of cave divers.
One of the boys was pictured wearing an England football shirt as they were discovered inside the cave.
Mourinho hosted the boys at Man United’s training ground on Saturday, where they were able to meet and chat to the players.
And they were all smiles as they watched the Red Devils beat Everton on Sunday, dressed in red and white United scarfs.
Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial netted either side of half-time as United emerged 2-1 victors, although Gylfi Sigurdsson’s penalty ensured a nervy conclusion.
