Amazon recently added a stream of new Echo device to its range that come flaunting fresh aesthetics and added features.

The American firm has released a new Echo Dot smart speaker that looks decidedly premium and boasts the same Alexa functionality but with audio that’s 70 percent louder.

Amazon also released its updated Echo Plus, refreshed Echo Show and all-new Echo Sub which boosts the sound quality of these popular devices.

Along with new hardware, it was recently confirmed with Tech Crunch that a new feature is rolling out for its line of Echo hardware that changes how customers communicate with Alexa.

Whisper Mode is now available to Echo owners in the US, the publication insisted.

The new functionality allows users to whisper commands to Alexa, who will in turn whisper a response back.

Detailing the mode, Amazon said: “Gone are the days of waking up your spouse or partner to ask Alexa for the weather in the morning or turn your alarm off.

“Whisper Mode is a new feature that allows you to whisper to Alexa, and she will whisper her response back to you.”

A UK release date for Whisper Mode has not been officially confirmed.

However, Echo fans in the UK are currently able to take advantage of a sale making the hardware more affordable than ever.
