The challenge comes when 'the marketer' attempts to have all things to all people and then sends all the leads through one primary list and sales funnel. This can cause subscribers to become frustrated and opt out or simply send the messages into the recycle or trash.
Let's say you decide to build a list of subscribers but are torn between two to three different related niches. If all three can be profitable and you have a plan to make it happen, what you can do is create separate lists for each niche. Once this is done, then design your advertising along with squeeze or landing pages that focus in on each particular niche.
This is especially important if you are going to market products or services that are closely related or have close similarities.
This strategy is no different than an online or offline store that offers a wide variety of products that are related but have different demographics. Businesses that market more than one product or service will many times have to segment and target their Marketing in order to capture market share and develop loyal customers.
Just like these companies can focus their advertising on different categories, you too as an online marketer / list builder can focus your efforts and target market through the use of separate lead capture pages.
Each lead capture page focuses in on the specific niche and deliveries quality content that subscribers look forward to receiving.
Here are Three Steps you can take to setup this Strategy:
Step # 1 – Set up three distinctly different squeeze pages. Each one should be focused on and around a specific niche, with a headline and bullet points that attract the searchers attention and pull them into the page.
Step # 2 – Create three separate email campaigns in your email auto responder. The key here is that you must write the quality content for each niche. This way you are focusing in on the needs of the subscriber and sharing information that directly relates to their problems and / or challenges.
Step # 3 – Create three separate lead capture web forms and then take each form and post it on the appropriate squeeze page. Each of these forms will be tied to a separate email list that I mentioned in step # 2.
