The Red Devils were comfortably beaten 3-2 on the south coast by Chris Hughton’s determined side
Jose Mourinho showed signs of feeling the pressure after Manchester United slipped to a 3-2 defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion.
During an interview with beIN SPORTS, the Portuguese boss was surly and, at times, patronising with his interviewer.
The Red Devils were comfortably beaten at the Amex, with Paul Pogba’s late penalty proving nothing more than a consolation.
Glenn Murray’s crisp finish sparked a 19-minute goal blitz as the Seagulls stunned their defensively shoddy visitors.
And it proved to be too much for Mourinho, who snapped at his interviewer.
When asked if there was a problem with the chemistry of the players, he replied: “You must be fantastic in your job to have the ability to understand and speak about chemistry between players.”
Despite answering one more question in a surly manner, the former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss left shortly after.
After bringing Fred and Diogo Dalot to Old Trafford in the summer, fans would have been hoping to see improvements to a side which finished 19 points behind Premier League winners Manchester City last campaign.
But the lack of a leader at the back proved costly yet again, with Mourinho continually cutting a frustrated figure on the touchline.
