“Bloke’s magic” – Wolves fans rave about one man following defeat to Leicester

Wolverhampton Wanderers were dealt their first Premier League defeat on Saturday as Leicester City overpowered them at the King Power.

An own goal from Matt Doherty and a deflected strike from James Maddison saw the Foxes lead undeservedly 2-0 at the break and they clung onto it despite Nuno Espirito Santo handing record signing Adama Traore his debut as a half time substitute.

In a breathless 45-minute cameo, Traore managed to show off his blistering speed and had Wolves – and Leicester – fans waxing lyrical by the end of the game.

The 22-year-old former Barcelona man is now in line to start in next weekend’s tantalising clash against Premier League champions Manchester City at Molineux.

Here’s how fans reacted to Traore’s first showing in old gold and black:

Billy: “Adama Traore looks some player. Bloke’s magic.”

Daniel Cox: “Thank goodness Adama Traore only came on at half time. Blimey he looks good.”

Matt: “Adama Traore is absolutely rapid. He slows the defender down and then blasts past him. He prefers to receive the ball whilst stationary. This does not make him LAZY as I have already heard today. We need to be patient with him and treat him better than we did with Sako.”

Andrew Hipkins: “Helder Costa & Diogo Jota have both struggled with the pace of the opening two games, once they get this sorted they will be fine. Adama Traore gave us more of an outlet in his 45 minutes than either of the above so he should start next week.”

Alex Tillet: “Adama Traore will be unbelievably fun to watch this season, goes past players like they’re not even there.”

Charles: “One of those days. Adama Traore, though!”

Ben: “Adama Traore is a proper good by the way.”

@RPBurton: “Nice to see Adama is getting the credit he deserves. To the Doubters, we told you so. Will be at the very top in a couple of years.”
