Kohli ended doubts over his ability to score runs in England by leading a great fightback by the tourists on day two of the first Test at Edgbaston.
After scoring just 134 runs in the Test series back in 2014, the India captain surpassed that tally in one innings today with 149.
India were in bother at 182-8 but Kohli shepherded the strike expertly and led his side to 274 all out, trailing by just 13 on first innings.

Earlier in the day England bowler Sam Curran had put his side in front with three quick wickets.
But the hosts were led to rue two dropped catches off the edge of Kohli’s bat, the first of which was a howler by Dawid Malan at second slip.
England ended the day on 9-1, losing Alastair Cook in the final over of proceedings.
Ravi Ashwin bowled the former skipper in very similar fashion to how he did in the first innings.
England lead by 22 runs with Keaton Jennings (5*) to be joined by Joe Root in the morning.
