The France striker was responding to claims made by the Belgian goalkeeper that France were an “anti-football team”
Antoine Griezmann has fired a dig back at Thibaut Courtois following France’s World Cup victory over Belgium.
Samuel Umtiti’s second-half header was the decisive goal as Didier Deschamps’ men booked their place in the showpiece final on Sunday – a game you can listen to live on talkSPORT.
However, the Belgian stopper along with Eden Hazard blasted Les Bleus’ approach to the game.
Courtois claimed France were an “anti-football team” when he said: “France heads a corner and does nothing more than defend
“I would have preferred to have lost in the quarter-finals to Brazil, at least that was a team that wanted to play football.
“France are just an anti-football team.”
But Griezmann, who will be looking to win France their first World Cup since 1998, responded to Courtois’ accusations claiming Chelsea play the same way.
Griezmann said: “Does Thibaut Courtois think that at Chelsea he plays Barcelona football?
“I don’t care how, I want a second star to be on this shirt. That is all.”
France take on Croatia on Sunday after their semi-final victory over England.
