The German is facing an uncertain future on Merseyside after his performance against Real Madrid in Kiev last month.
As for Liverpool’s other transfer targets, it appears the club have missed out on another prospective goalkeeper.
Roma stopper Alisson Becker has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer.
