Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Ian Poulter head a star-studded field for the flagship European Tour event.
With 14 of the world’s top 50 in action, it promises to be a thrilling tournament.
All eyes will be on McIlroy, who will be aiming to win for a second time following his previous triumph four years ago.
His victory at Wentworth sparked an incredible run of form which saw him pick up the Open, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and US PGA.
And McIlroy is hoping to rekindle that this week, as he said: “It did snowball from there and I got on to a nice little bit of a hot streak.
“I guess all you need is that spark or that catalyst. Maybe this could be the spark that gets that all going again.”
“I felt like my game was trending in the right direction in 2014, but didn’t quite have the win.”
Alex Noren is the defending champion and shot a stunning round of 62 last year.
