Hundreds of Liverpool FC fans have been left heartbroken after three flights to Kiev for the Champions’ League final have been cancelled.
The flights, promised as part of packages with World Choice Sports based in Widnes were cancelled this afternoon after they messaged fans affected to tell them they could not secure space to land the aircraft at two airports in the Ukrainian capital.
The statement read: “With deep regret, we have had to cancel three flights to Kiev.

“We have exhausted all avenues to try and get landing slots. We have had them from Liverpool airport and Manchester airport and we have applied for slots in the correct manner and time frame with the authorities.
“To reiterate this problem IS with Kiev.”
