Wenger will leave Arsenal in the summer after almost 22 years in north London.
But could he be replaced by one of the greatest players he had during his time at the club?
Vieira is the current manager of Major League Soccer side New York City, so has some experience.
Henry is the assistant to Belgium boss Roberto Martinez but is yet to take sole charge of a team.
Sky Sports claim the French duo are two “outstanding” candidates to take over from Wenger.
And they could even get a different role at the club if they do not get the top job.
Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol said: “We’re hearing that two former Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, they would be outstanding candidates to replace Arsene Wenger.
“What we’re also hearing is that even if they don’t get the job, they may well be involved in a new structure at the club going forward.”
Solhekol earlier revealed former Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick is a shock name that has emerged in the running.
“Another name that has emerged to us today is Ralf Rangnick,” Solhekol said.
“Now, he is somebody who is working at the moment as a sporting director in Germany.
“His background is very interesting because he was the manager of Hoffenheim and he took them to the third tier of German football into the Bundesliga.
“So he is someone we have been told today Arsenal are also interested in.”
