Tennis ace Lumsden hoping to carry momentum into Loughborough

MAIA Lumsden hopes to pick up where she left off when she returns to the tennis court in Loughborough today. There was standing room only at Scotstoun when the 20-year-old went down in three sets 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 to her Spanish opponent Paula Badosa in the final of the $25,000 GB Pro Series or Scottish Championships on Sunday and the World No 524 hopes to build on that storming run in the next event on the Futures Tour. Having initially been reluctant to use on of her just three annual LTA wild cards in the event after an administrative slip-up, Lumsden is determined to strike while the iron is hot and hopes to carry that form into this week.
