WORLD Cup-winning defender Mats Hummels revealed he hadn’t given Celtic a moment’s thought until now.
The German star admitted he had been concentrating on the Bundeliga game against Freiburg – which they won 5-0 at the weekend.
Hummels doesn’t appear to be panicking after Bayern Munich’s 3-0 pummelling from Paris Saint-Germain last month – the defeat that cost Carlo Ancelotti his job.
As he prepared for tomorrow night’s meeting at the Allianz Arena, he said: “To be honest, I hadn’t been thinking about the Celtic game until now.
“But we are at home and we are the ones who want to be dominant.
“We’ll sit down and have a team meeting about Celtic and take it from there.
“But I don’t think we are under pressure. Last season, we lost at Atletico Madrid in our second game in the group, too.”
Hummels added: “It was an important win for us on Saturday. Apart from a couple of chances we gave Freiburg, it was really a good performance from us. Now we want to build on this win.
“Jupp Heynckes is demanding in training. He wants us to play with great intensity and we showed that. He constantly monitors us and corrects us when we are doing something wrong.
“He had a conversation with all of us. I liked what he said to me.”
