The Leicester City striker scored twice to give his country a 2-0 win over Iceland in their Group B match
Nigeria striker Ahmed Musa sent fans on social meltdown for his electric performance against Iceland.
The Leicester City striker, who spent last season on loan at CSKA Moscow, scored two outstanding goals to all-but ensure his country would progress to the last-16 of the World Cup in Russia.
After a rather dour first half, the game kicked into life when the Super Eagles sprung a rapid counter-attack from their opposition’s own attacking throw.
Chelsea star Victor Moses raced away down the right, put in a cross to Musa, and the 25-year-old plucked the ball from the air before smashing a half-volley home.
However, he was not finished there.
With the perennial underdogs looking to find a way back into the game, Musa broke free down the left-hand side thanks to his searing pace.
Leaving Kari Arnason for dead, Musa checked back inside once more before coolly finishing beyond the helpless Hannes Halldorsson.
After taking his total World Cup Finals tally to four, the pacey striker sent Twitter users crazy for his fantastic efforts – with some even calling for him to be made President!
