DORSET’S Georgia Hall celebrated one of her best finishes on the LPGA Tour after overcoming an indifferent start at the Shoprite Classic in Galloway, New Jersey.
Hall, who bogeyed three of her first seven holes in her opening round at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club on Friday, fought back over the weekend to end the tournament at six-under-par.
Starting her final round at four-under and tied for 26th place, Hall dropped a shot at the second before quickly repairing the damage with a birdie at the third.
Another birdie at the ninth saw her reach the turn at five-under before back-to-back birdies at 11 and 12 propelled her to seven-under.
However, a bogey at 13 saw her slip back to six-under before a run of five successive pars saw her sign for a closing 69.
Hall, in her rookie season on the LPGA Tour, carded an eventful level-par opening round of 71 before adding a superb four-under 67 in her second round, which included just 26 putts.
The Wimborne-based 22-year-old was in line to bank another sizeable cheque and was on course to claim a top-30 place in the £1.3million event.
