Salah took to social media this afternoon to apparently respond to the Premier League’s decision to award Kane Tottenham’s winning goal against Stoke at the weekend.
The two strikers are locked in a fierce battle for the Golden Boot.
Kane was able to appeal a decision during Spurs’ clash with Stoke after he claimed to have touched Christian Eriksen’s free-kick with his shoulder.
The England international now has 25 domestic strikes to his name following the appeal – four less than Salah.
But the Egyptian has taken to Twitter to supposedly express his shock at the decision by writing: “Wooooooow really?”
His tweet was published just a few minutes after the Premier League’s announcement.
Liverpool supporters have responded in their number suggesting the message was aimed at Kane for successfully appealing the decision.
One user wrote: “It’s because Harry Kane has been awarded one of Erikson’s goals against Stoke last week.”
And another added: “Is this about Harry Kane?”
While some supporters hailed Salah for the tweet.
“Hahahahahahahahaha you absolute legend I love you so much,” one fan said.
While a further tweet read: “Ohhh hahah. The only way he’s [Kane] going to win it.”
Salah scored his 39th goal in all competitions last night as he helped Liverpool beat Manchester City 2-1 in the Champions League.
But the forward has now turned his attention to social media with the cryptic message to his domestic rival.
