That is the view of former tennis star Todd Woodbridge.
The duo are still topping the ATP rankings despite being in the latter years of their respective tennis careers.
Federer recently regained his world No 1 spot by winning the Rotterdam Open last month.
While Nadal was performing well before pulling out of the Mexican Open with a hip injury.
But it is the pair’s conduct off the court which impresses Woodbridge.
“Roger and Rafa transcend every sport,” he told Tennismash.
“They are the ones every other athlete in the world looks up to in terms of how to brand themselves, how to behave, how to do everything the right way.
“The reality is you have to lay your soul bare to become as good as you can.
“Federer lays it bare with his emotions, Rafa Nadal with the physicality, Andy Murray with how he wears his heart on his sleeve.”
Federer is currently attempting to retain his Indian Wells Masters title.
The Swiss star cruised past Filip Krajinovic in the third round and has a fantastic chance of claiming his 98th career title.
Novak Djokovic crashed out of the tournament in the second round to Taro Daniel.
