The Formula One season kicks off next month and the much-anticipated unveiling of the cars is already underway.
Haas announced their VF 18 this week and it appears Red Bull have given fans a unintentional sneak peak of their new offering ahead of schedule.
In an official team video in which Max Verstappen shows off his new helmet for the 2018 season, eagle-eyed fans spotted the nose of a car in the distance.
And the revelation has sparked petrol-heads into a Twitter frenzy as they attempt to work out of it is the new or old model.
“Do I see a nose of the 2018 car in the top right?!” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Great kid but what is that we spy in the background? The new 2018 nose cone?” another added.
“You seriously teased the RB14,” a third added.
However, some were more sceptical and think it was merely the nose of last year’s RB12 car.
“That’s RB12 I think. I doubt they’d give a way a major part of the car so easily,” one fan wrote.
“That’s too much of a giveaway,” another added.
Interestingly, when Verstappen’s team-mate Daniel Ricciardo came into the studio to do his helmet unveiling the car had been removed from shot.
The plot thickens…
