He scored a remarkable 10 goals last weekend on his return to action for Caerwys FC in the North East Wales League.

What position did you play as a youngster and it is still the position you specialise in now?
As a youngster I played on the wing either right or left. As I got older I moved position to striker.
You scored an amazing 10 goals against Bellevue on January 20 – is this the most you’ve ever scored in a single game?
Yes 10 goals is the most I have ever scored in a single game and it was nice to score this amount in my first game this season.
How do you feel the season is going for Caerwys overall?
I don’t think the season is going as well as hoped.
What is your most treasured memory as a Caerwys player?
When I scored against Rhyl FC at the Belle Vue, which was also goal of the season for Caerwys.
What are the strengths and weaknesses to your game?
My strengths are my speed and finishing, my weakness was my defensive play.
Do Caerwys get well-supported by the local community?
Yes Caerwys has got a good Local support from the community.
What do you think of the overall standard of the North East Wales League? Could you pick a potential title winner at this stage?
I have been told the overall standard of the league is good as Saturday was the only game I have played this season. Potential title winners either Plas Madoc or Penyffordd.
Who is the hardest opponent you have ever faced?
I don’t know, I just used to get kicked every game!
Who is the most talented team-mate you have played alongside?
I have played alongside many talented players over the years, but two that stand out are Nick Voyle (Caerwys FC) and Marc Hughes (MOD National Team).
What was the last international game you saw live?
I have never been to watch an international match.
Tell us something about you which may surprise us
I secretly got married to my wife Lyndsey 10 days before I was deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months and kept it a secret until I got back. And I have 2 sausage dog crosses called Coco and Snoop Dogg.
What do you do for a living?
I’m an Avionic Engineer.
Do you watch TV much? What is your favourite show at present?
Yes I watch a fair amount of TV. My favourite show at present is Peaky Blinders.
What was the last album you listened to?
Liam Gallagher – As You Were.
Is there any sporting history in the Shill family, besides you?
My 2 brothers have played squash for years for Holywell Leisure Centre, and my nephew currently plays rugby for Flint.
Best ground ever played at?
Highbury Stadium, Fleetwood Town FC.
Favourite type of cake?
Have you any holidays planned this year?
Yes I’m going to Prague next week for my anniversary.
Any remaining ambitions as a footballer?
I don’t have any remaining ambitions as a footballer that I can think of.
