Page is unbeaten in 12 mixed martial arts bouts and fights on the Bellator promotion but was keen to make the switch to boxing, signing with David Haye’s Hayemaker Ringstar.
And he marked his bow in the ring with a stunning third-round stoppage of Caetano, dropping him with a huge right hand.
The Spaniard got back to his feet but was waved off 45 seconds into the round, giving “MVP” a debut victory.
“I loved every second of it from when I was back in the changing room dancing,” Page said.
“I felt absolutely amazing and that’s a good tester to see where I want to go with it.”
Of his knockout, he added: “His chin went back a little bit.
“It was just good timing. I was looking that throughout the fight.”
Page, who has also kickboxed at the highest level, will continue to compete in both mixed martial arts and boxing, an unusual move inspired by Conor McGregor’s successful, if unvictorious, cross-code fight against Floyd Mayweather.
But promoter David Haye believes MVP has the skills required to balance himself across the two sports.
“He’s going to juggle between Bellator MMA and boxing,” Haye said.
“He’s one of the very few people who can do that without complicating things.
“It’s one step at a time. tonight was just can he transcend from MMA to boxing.”
