An influential group of MPs has threatened to use “formal powers” to make Britain’s financial watchdog publish a leaked report about misconduct at Royal Bank of Scotland.
The Financial Conduct Authority has refused to publish the report in full, claiming it contains confidential information about individuals. Instead the FCA has offered a detailed summary of the document.
ANd engineering firm GKN has warned that profits will only be “slightly above” its 2016 figure, after it disclosed a £40m hit linked to legal claims and a £15m writedown.
The firm said that it had been made aware of two “probable claims” which are expected to result in the £40m charge. The claims relate to GKN Aerospace and GKN Driveline.
