There are many great Chinese takeaways around Aberdeen.
But everyone has that one, that favourite, the takeaway they know they can rely upon.
For me, it’s Chinese Cooking.
From the outside, it’s not the best looking, but that’s no reflection on what their chefs create inside.
Our first dish, chicken with spring onion and ginger (£4.80), was close to perfect.
The expected massive dish was packed with plenty of chicken, warming ginger and a little zing from the spring onions.
The whole thing was coated in a thick, slightly sweet sauce which was quickly demolished along with a portion of fried rice (£2.20).
Our second dish was the Yeung Chow fried rice (£6.00) – otherwise known as special fried rice – which was packed with plenty of sweet char sui pork, small prawns and lots of veg, bound together with egg and perfectly seasoned with soy.
