The Spider-Man Homecoming star revealed that he cried when fans caught a glimpse of what the Marvel team have been working on, ahead of the film’s release next Spring.
The teaser was not released online for the general public to see, but all reports from the Californian event point to a thrilling first glimpse at one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.
“I nearly cried, I genuinely cried,” Holland told Access Hollywood afterwards.
“It wasn’t much seeing the Avengers footage because we’ve been so involved in the making of it.
“But [it was] seeing the 10 years that this franchise has been going and how much of a fan I’ve been and now I can call myself a part of this company – it’s mind-blowing.”
Benedict Cumberbatch added: “It’s this payoff of a massive series arc, and 10 years’ worth of work for the people behind it who’ve had success after success after success.
“And being a part of it is really incredible, and you see how much it means to people.”
Avengers: Infinity War is being filmed back-to-back with its sequel, and the first chapter wrapped filming last week.
