Roma have already started to prepare for life after Mohamed Salah, who is set to join Liverpool any day now, by targeting Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal.
Salah has agreed personal terms with the Reds, but there has reportedly been a delay over the switch as the two clubs have failed to agree a fee so far, but the feeling is that the Egyptian winger will make still make the move.
The former Chelsea star is reported to have skipped a visit to his home town as negotiations accelerate, according to sports journalist Hady Elmedany and Sportitalia (via Football Italia) claim the Serie A runners-up have already identified Ghezzal as Salah’s replacement this summer.
The 25-year-old’s contract is up next month and the he looks set for a change of scenery this summer, with big-spending AC Milan also linked.

Roma will feel they are in pole position to sign Ghezzal – Salah is halfway out the exit door, which would bode well for his chances of starting next season, and the Italian’s will be playing Champions League football next season.
Ghezzal, and Algerian international, has been with Lyon all his professional career so far having originally turned out for their B side as a youngster.
He looks set to move on this summer to pastures new, as does his teammate Alexandre Lacazette, who has also been with Lyon for the whole of his career. He has been linked with a host of European heavyweights this summer, with Arsenal the favourites.
