Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in soon-to-be free agent Marley Watkins.
Watkins, 26, is set to leave fellow Championship side Barnsley upon the expiry of his contract this summer as he wishes to find a new club, this after rejected a new deal at Oakwell.
Along with Premier League side Burnley and local rivals Aston Villa, Wolves have supposedly made an enquiry for winger Watkins, though it’s thought Norwich City are the front-runners at this moment in time for his signature.
Watkins contributed ten goals for the Tykes last season as they enjoyed an impressive campaign on their return to the Championship, finishing 14th.
He came on as a 70th minute sub at Molineux last season when Wolves and Barnsley were battling out what looked like a goalless draw – only for his entrance to spark a glut of goals as the Yorkshire club plundered four.
