CAPTAIN Simon Beetham is keen for Lymington to replicate last weekend’s superb display at Alton when they attempt to break their Bashley hoodoo.
Lymo will on Saturday hope to build on their monster 233-run victory when they entertain local rivals who they have not beaten in the Southern Premier League in six years.
Beetham said: “At Alton, we put in perhaps one of the best Lymington performances I’ve been a part of.
“Terry Crabb and Ryan Scott had a field day and Terry was ably supported, most notably by Calvin Dickinson who looked a class above.
“The bowling and fielding was pretty clinical and all the bowlers hit their marks.
“We always look forward to playing Bashley. They are our local rivals and have a fairly young team, and the games are always hotly contested.
“We go in unchanged and are hoping to put in a similar performance. We are also looking forward to our first home game of the season, even if the new pavilion isn’t yet ready.”
Elsewhere in the Premier Division, third-place New Milton will aim to notch their third league victory in a row when they make the journey to Havant.
The Green & Golds saw off Hampshire Academy and Burridge in their opening two games.
