North Wales’ psychic octopus will not be making any predictions before the outcome of the 2017 General Election.
Ollie, a female, who lived at Anglesey Sea Zoo, made the call on last year’s US presidential election.
However, there was controversy over who she picked.
Daily Post readers were divided on whether she tipped Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton for victory after he knocked down Mrs Clinton’s picture from the wall of her tank.
But there will be no such prediction before this year’s UK election on June 8th.
Ollie died just before Easter, around about the time Prime Minister Theresa May was making her mind up about calling the surprise, snap election.
Sarah Meakin, aquarium manager, said the zoo is now on the look out for a replacement octopus.
She said: “We lost her just before Easter.
“They only have a short life span and we have been looking on social media for people who can bring us a new octopus if they catch one.
“But election predicting is not a key requirement.”
However, Ollie was not the first of her species to get into the prediction game.
Paul the octopus became an unlikely star of the 2010 football World Cup after he gained worldwide attention when he correctly predicted the winners of each of the seven matches Germany played.
He died at the age of two in an aquarium in Germany in 2010.
